More about the Artist Management Program Oakland Records founder, Tom "Tommy" Held has over 20 years experience in the music industry as producer, engineer, and consultant for Platinum and Grammy Award winning artists including Arrested Development and The Bo Deans as well as Hip Hop artists Kali Tribe, Roots Rock artists The Flood and High Water Limit and many more. He has also worked with prestigious classical artists and composers such as John Downey, Pavel Burda, Leonard Salzedo, John Welstead and Yahuda Yannay. He has worked with Jazz artist Spinn Jive, songwriter Jimmy Pierce and many, many more. Partnered with Bo Deans' management, Mark McCraw and Alex Hofmann in the former North Coast Records, Tom experienced 'first hand' where many artists are 'coming up short'. Having spent hours and hours with demo, album and press kit reviews as well as countless hours in the studio producing and coaching new artists, Tom knows what 'this or that' is missing from an artist's total package. Well, it's time to try and change all this. Oakland Records USA's Artist Management Program is a vehicle for Tom to extend his expertise to up and coming artists that need his help. The Artist Management Progam (AMP, for short) has hourly rates for consultations one on one with the AMP team as well as flat rate demo, album production, songwriting and press kit reviews. Enrollment in the Artist Management Program is typically one hour per week for six months. You may choose more or less time depending on your needs. During your time in the program, you will be coached on all aspects of your career, including tour and show planning, demo and album production, press photos, press kits, press opportunities, press releases, digital distribution, college, AAA and Internet radio airplay, songwriting, vocal performances, album production, duplication, distribution, online sales and much more. You may choose to discontinue the program at anytime if you feel as though you no longer need the help, you feel you have much more to do yet on your own, or for any other reason. The following link will give you an example schedule for the sixth month Artist Management Program. Your schedule will be tailored to you, depending on what your artist's needs.
